QR Scanner VR ("the App") is developed by Anwar Studio Official ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect user information in connection with the QR Scanner VR application for Meta Quest.
Summary: QR Scanner VR processes camera data locally on your device to detect and decode QR codes. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All scan history is stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time. We do not operate any external servers and do not share your data with third parties. The App does not require account creation, registration, or login. The App collects and processes the following data:
Camera Data – The App uses the Meta Quest passthrough cameras solely to detect and decode QR codes in your real-world environment. Camera images are processed locally on your device in real-time using Google ML Kit. Camera data is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server.
Scan History – The content of scanned QR codes (URLs, text, WiFi credentials, etc.) is stored locally on your device for your convenience. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time using the "Clear" button in the App.
User Preferences – App settings and preferences are stored locally on your device within the App’s private storage.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not operate any external servers and do not transmit or store any data on any server owned or operated by us.
We use the collected data for the following specific purposes:
Camera Data – Processed locally and in real-time to detect and decode QR codes. Camera frames are discarded immediately after processing and are never stored.
Scan History – Stored locally to allow you to review and interact with previously scanned codes (copy text, open URLs).
User Preferences – To remember your App settings between sessions.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
Scan history (scanned QR code content and timestamps) – stored in local app storage
User preferences (app settings) – stored in local shared preferences
This data never leaves your device and is fully deleted when the App is uninstalled.
We do not sell, license, rent, or share any user data with third parties. The App operates entirely offline with no data transmission to external servers. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
All locally stored data (scan history, preferences) is retained on your device only for as long as the App is installed. You can clear scan history at any time using the "Clear" button within the App. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all local data.
All data stored by the App is kept locally on your device within the App’s private storage, which is protected by the Android operating system’s sandboxing mechanism. We do not operate any external servers, databases, or cloud storage.
The App uses Google ML Kit for on-device barcode detection and decoding. ML Kit processes all data locally on the device – no camera data or scan results are sent to Google’s servers. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details on their data practices. The App does not integrate any other third-party services, analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
The App does not require an internet connection for its core functionality. All QR code scanning and processing is performed locally on your device. The App requests the INTERNET permission solely to allow you to open URLs found in scanned QR codes in the device’s web browser. No data is sent to any server operated by us.
The App uses the Meta Quest headset’s passthrough cameras to detect QR codes in your environment. Camera data is processed locally by Google ML Kit and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. The App also uses the headset’s built-in sensors (head tracking, controller input) solely for providing the VR user interface experience. Camera access is required for the App’s core scanning functionality.
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the App, please contact us at psopala93@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
Regardless of your location, you have the right to request deletion of any data associated with your use of the App. All locally stored data resides exclusively on your device. You can clear scan history at any time using the "Clear" button within the App. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data. No fees are charged for data deletion, and no justification is required.
